Mrs. Elaine Brock
A Music Educator, director, pianist and piano instructor for over 25 years, Mrs. Brock enjoys teaching piano to beginning and intermediate students of all ages in the Durbin Crossing, Fruit Cove and Julington Creek neighborhoods of Northwest St. Johns County, Florida. Mrs. Brock is a music lover from many perspectives! As a state certified public and private school educator, Mrs. Brock has taught General Music Grades K-12, Music Theory and Appreciation, and has directed numerous secondary choirs, acapella ensembles and chorales. She has also produced and directed over 50 musical and dramatic productions, as well as church-related choirs and drama companies. Mrs. Brock's diversity provides a varied sense of appreciation for many types of music including classical, sacred, musical theater, popular and traditional favorites. She also excels at improvisation and arranging, and has served as music producer and arranger for several local ensembles. She has performed in various international venues representing a number of humanitarian and missions organizations, including performances in Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall of Lincoln Center, as well as Madison Square Garden. Having first played the piano at age 3, Mrs. Brock is well aware of the impact a positive experience at a young age can have in a child's life and love for music. Her joy in teaching piano students is seeing even her youngest students grow to love playing the piano and eventually even perform in seasonal recitals which are held in May and November. As her students gain confidence, and as their pianistic skills are perfected, it is Mrs. Brock's goal to see music be thoroughly enjoyed! She continues to inspire students to strive for excellence in performance, but also to pursue their passion for the arts for a lifetime.
