Shari Weisz Piano Studio
Shari Weisz maintains a private piano studio in Stamford, Connecticut. She has over thirty years of experience teaching classical piano. Her students are expected to perform at a high level, they consistently win awards and competitions, and have played in Carnegie Hall. Mrs. Weisz teaches the principals of the Taubman Approach, a natural technique of healthy movement that facilitates playing in a connected and coordinated way. The Taubman Approach emphasizes freedom, efficiency, and accuracy in movement. Students learn to play with less tension and more precision, with a high degree of artistic and musical expression and beautiful tone. Mrs. Weisz is also experienced in helping musicians avoid discomfort and recover from injury using the Taubman Approach. Playing the piano is a rich and rewarding activity that develops both the mind and body. Mrs. Weisz is committed to sharing her love of piano with students of all ages by focusing on musical interpretation, ear training, sight reading, proper technique, and music theory. She also provides ample opportunities for her students to perform.
