Miss Adams teaches piano in the Edinboro University Community Music School in Edinboro, PA. She has completed two years of Doctoral cousework (Ohio University), and holds a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance/Pedagogy (Ohio University) and a Bachelor of Arts in Music (Piano Performance and Studio Teaching - Edinboro University). She has completed all 8 Suzuki Piano Pedagogy courses under the tutelage of Mary Craig Powell at Capital University. Miss Adams has also studied privately with esteemed pianist and pedagogue Seymour Fink (author of acclaimed book/video "Mastering Piano Technique"), as well as with renowned pianist James Tannenbaum (Cleveland Institute of Music). In addition, she has pursued music composition studies with Dr. Albert Glinsky (Composer-in-Residence, Mercyhurst University) and studied Baroque Recorder under Robert Matthews. Her students have ranged from three-year old beginners through college level music majors. Many have won top awards at such venues as the Cleveland International Summer Music Festival, the Chautauqua Piano Sonata/Sonatina Competition, the Erie Music Teachers Association Scholarship Auditions, as well as National and International certificates from the National Piano Guild. Students have also received top scores and certificates in Music Theory from the Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association, along with spots on the state convention Sutton Showcase Recital numerous times.
