About

In 2006, Mr. Zhi was awarded first prize in the Khabarovsk International Piano Competition in Khabarovsk, Russia. In 2004, he received a diploma at the International Young Pianists Chopin Competition in Moscow and has been invited as guest artist to perform in the embassy of Poland in Moscow. In 2005 he performed Chopin's Piano Concerto No.2 in F minor, Op. 21 with the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra conducted by Yu Feng in Shenzhen, Guangdong, and in the summer of 2009 he performed at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C. In March 2014 he was interviewed by the WEOL Radio 930 AM as a special guest artist. In May 2014 He performed in the Oberlin commencement recital at Finney Chapel, OH. He has performed in masterclasses with Ricardo Castro, Christopher Elton, Kirill Gerstein, Nelita True, Yoheved Kaplinsky, Robert McDonald, Ilja Scheps, James Tocco, Tamas Ungar, Edward Auer, Joseph Banowetz, Simone Pedroni, and Arnold Steinhardt (chamber music) among others.
